Information:

We are a team of four upper limb consultants.

The fellowship offers a comprehensive spectrum of elective and trauma shoulder & elbow surgery. The fellowship experience includes balanced exposure to shoulder and elbow arthroplasty as well as advanced arthroscopic shoulder procedures. In addition, fellows will be exposed to range of sports related injuries and its management, complex post trauma reconstruction, soft tissue procedures and open joint surgery.

Fellows undertake regular weekly trauma lists with their supervising consultants. There is provision for parallel independent operating for experienced fellows. Fellows will have the opportunity to undertake weekly sessions in the Pulvertaft Hand Unit depending on their preference. We have an active research and audit program and fellows will be encouraged and supported to undertake research projects. Fellows have the opportunity to teach on the various local shoulder and elbow courses run in Derby during the year. They also undertake teaching for orthopaedic trainees and medical students.
