New BESS grants and awards |

In honour of the late Paul Calvert, two awards entitled the “Paul Calvert Educational Awards” are be given out at the BESS AGM to members. The award runs for 5 years from 2004. The approximate value is £1,000 each.
Two new BESS Research Grants will be awarded at the 2005 BESS meeting. - Click Here for more details
BESS “Seniors Tour” Travelling Fellowship. This new fellowship (value £3,000) has been introduced to encourage surgeons who are members to travel to other units and gain extra experience. It is open to members in senior practice (consultant, Associate specialist, staff grade) for 10 years or more. It is especially targeted at members who have increasing shoulder and elbow practices and who may not have had formal fellowship training. - Click Here for more details
