This six month fellowship provides excellent exposure to the whole variety of shoulder and elbow surgery.

Mr D Stanley has a major interest in elbow surgery, for which he enjoys a national and international reputation, accepting tertiary referrals from around the UK. In particular, the fellowship offers outpatient and operative experience in primary and revision elbow arthroplasty, the management of elbow stiffness and instability. He also has a significant caseload of shoulder work, including arthroscopic cuff repair and stabilisation, and arthroplasty.

Mr D Potter’s interest is solely in shoulder surgery, and his case mix involves all aspects of the field. His cases include a number of national and international athletes. The fellow can expect operative exposure to arthroscopic cuff repair, stabilisation and capsular surgery, Latarjet stabilisation, and all aspects of primary and revision arthroplasty including reverse implants.

The upper limb team also accepts tertiary complex trauma referrals, and a session is dedicated to these cases.

Research, both basic science and clinical, is actively encouraged, and a full day available per week to pursue projects
