Details: The Smith and Nephew North American Advanced Travelling Fellowship is designed to allow an Orthopaedic senior trainee (SpR years 5 or 6) or a Consultant during their first 5 years of appointment to undertake a travelling Fellowship of around 4 weeks in North America. Smith and Nephew Endoscopy UK have generously agreed to fund the Fellowship to the sum of £4,000 to assist with travel and accommodation expenses.

Requirements: It is intended that this Advanced Travelling Fellowship will encourage the successful candidate to expand his/ her arthroscopic knowledge and skills of shoulder and elbow arthroscopic surgery for the benefit of those athletes who are treated through the National Health Service in the United Kingdom and the short-listing of applicants will take into account these factors as part of the selection process. This Advanced Travelling Fellowship is for the advancement of clinical skills and is not for any form of research.

Smith & Nephew Endoscopy UK have offered to assist the successful candidate with their travel arrangements.

Short-listed candidates will be required to attend for interview at the BESS Annual Scientific Meeting. The winner of the award will be announced at the BESS Meeting.
